What a wedding in Candolim costs
Food is the line you can price before anyone quotes you. The one Candolim property in our book with a published rate is The Westin Goa, at ₹3,500+ a plate. For 150 guests over two main meals that is ₹10.5 lakh. It is a starting rate rather than a quote: menu, bar, season and guest count all move it, and December prices differently from October.

We hold confirmed room counts for 9 of the 16 Candolim properties in our book, and between them they hold 1,142 rooms, the largest single block being 195 at The Westin Goa. In your own city guests drive home after the reception. In Goa they sleep where the wedding is, and in season the venue sells that on a two-night minimum, so the unit of cost is room-nights rather than rooms.
The arithmetic we run before anyone talks rates: divide the guest list by 2.2, because Indian guest lists never pair perfectly, then add 15 per cent for late confirmations, elders who need their own room and the crew.

When to marry in Candolim
The same nine usable months as the rest of Goa. November to February is peak: dry air, cool evenings, and outdoor set-ups that hold. October is the value month, with the monsoon cleared and season pricing not yet started. Christmas and New Year week is the most expensive fortnight of the Goan year. Between June and September the monsoon takes outdoor space off the table, and the design has to be built for covered ground from the start.
For 2026–27 the calendar tightens: the major panchang sources agree that August, September and October 2026 carry no marriage muhurats, so panchang-observant weddings are competing for late November 2026, the first fortnight of December, and then mid-January onward. If your wedding does not follow the panchang, those quiet weeks are exactly when Candolim venues have dates to sell. Whatever month you pick, outdoor amplified music stops at 10pm across Goa. Plan the evening backwards from ten and it is a non-issue: sundowner at five, dinner early, and the late half of the night indoors.

Wind is the structural problem before it is a design problem, so anything tall is weighted below the sand line; salt air edits the material list, which is why brass and sealed timber do better here than thin plating; and the tide table for your date decides how much ceremony ground you actually have. The build notes are in decor that survives sea air, and what may stand on that particular stretch is a panchayat decision rather than the resort's.
Getting your guests to Candolim
Goa has two airports and the right one for Candolim is Mopa, in the north. Guests who book into Dabolim by accident add a long transfer at the end of a flight, which is worth saying in the invitation rather than discovering on the day. Do you need permission for a beach wedding in Candolim?
Yes, and the resort does not grant it. What may stand on the sand, how loud it may be and how late it may run is decided by the village panchayat that stretch of beach belongs to, and beaches ten minutes apart can give different answers. Settle it before you sign the venue. Anything built on the beach also has to be temporary and weighted rather than dug in, under the coastal-zone rules.
