Why flat, not a percentage

A percentage fee pays the planner more every time your wedding costs more. Every negotiation they run on your behalf then cuts their own income. We would rather the incentive point the other way. A flat fee means the minimum guarantee we argue down, the bar cap we write in and the room block we size correctly all save you money and cost us nothing, which is the only arrangement in which a planner's advice on the budget is worth listening to.

What sets the figure

Scope, which in practice is four things: how many events across how many days, how many guests and from how many countries, how much is designed and built rather than hired, and whether the venue is a hotel with its own kitchen and rooms or a house that needs both brought in. A two-event, 100-guest wedding at a resort sits at the lower end of ₹5–25 lakh+. A three-day, 300-guest wedding with a full build and families arriving from three time zones sits at the upper end, and beyond it.

What the fee covers

• Venue shortlist with real numbers from our book, walked on video and then in person on your single trip.
• Negotiating the venue contract: the minimum guarantee, the room block and its release date, the bar terms.
• The design, drawn to scale before anything is priced: plans, elevations, the lighting plan.
• The permissions file: panchayat, excise, coastal-zone conditions for anything on the sand, walked by us.
• Vendor contracting at cost, with every quote shared in writing before you sign it.
• Guest logistics: room block, arrival waves at both airports, the wedding-week schedule.
• Running the wedding: a named planner on site for every event, with everyone on the on-site team listed in your proposal.

What it does not cover

• The venue: rooms and food, paid to the property on its own contract.
• The build itself: materials, fabrication and crew for what we design, quoted line by line before anything is made.
• Licence and permission fees, paid at the counter.
• Photography, film, outfits, flights, hair and make-up: your own contracts, introduced where you want, never marked up.
• Travel for our team outside Goa, if a pre-wedding event happens elsewhere.

How it is paid

In stages, against a written schedule you approve before anything is booked. Venues and vendors are paid on their own contracts, against quotes you have seen, and every payment is listed for you line by line. The fee is quoted in rupees.

The quote, after the first call

The first call is thirty minutes and free: month, guest count, the things the family will not compromise on, where everyone is flying from. Within one working day you get a written scope and a fee figure inside the band above. If it is not the right fit, the call costs you nothing and you keep the venue shortlist.
