The short answer
Couples enquiring with us about a Goa wedding are typically planning around ₹15 lakh. A 90-guest wedding at a boutique property in October and a 400-guest wedding at a five-star in December are not the same purchase, and no honest single number covers both.
Three things move the number. Almost nothing else does.
How many people you fly in. This is the big one, and it is not the food — it is the beds. In your home city guests drive home. In Goa you are housing them for three nights, and at peak season that room block routinely costs more than the catering.
Which month you pick. The same venue, the same menu and the same guest list will cost you materially less in October than in the last week of December. Christmas week is the most expensive fortnight of the Goan year.
What kind of building it is. A five-star beachfront resort carries a per-plate minimum and a room rate to match. A Portuguese house or a private villa is priced as a rental, and you bring the kitchen to it. Both work. They are different arithmetic.
