Goa wedding packages, taken apart

Nobody sells a true all-inclusive wedding in Goa. The venue sells rooms and plates. Everything else is assembled, and the word "package" usually hides which parts. Here is what one contains when we assemble it, at ten venues from our book, with the numbers we hold.
The short answer
A Goa wedding package is three contracts wearing one name. The venue's: rooms at a group rate and food per plate against a minimum guarantee. The licences and permissions: excise for the bar, the panchayat's say on sound and structures, none of it in the venue's price. And the production: design, build, transfers, the run of the day. We assemble all three, you pay each party directly, and our fee is a flat figure on top. The table below shows what the venue half looks like at ten properties.

The room half, which nobody puts in a package price
A package quote almost always leads with the plate rate, because that is the number the venue publishes. The room block is the bigger line and it is arithmetic you can do yourself. Divide the guest count by 2.2 — Indian guest lists never pair perfectly — and add 15 per cent for late confirmations, elders who need their own room and the crew. Then multiply by nights, because in season the venue sells a two-night minimum and Christmas week often runs to three.

Room rates are quoted per wedding and per date, so we do not publish one. What we can tell you is the shape: at a beach resort in season the block is routinely larger than the food bill, which is the single most common surprise in a Goa package. What a package comes to across these ten, by guest count
Food only, two main meals, at the published band across the ten venues above. It is the one part of a package you can price before anyone quotes you, and it is usually the second-largest line after the rooms.

What the season does to a package
The same package at the same venue is a different total in October and in Christmas week. November to February is peak and prices like it; December's last fortnight is the most expensive of the Goan year and venues often ask around double the November rate. October is the value month: the monsoon has cleared, Goa is still green from four months of rain, and season pricing has not started.
The 2026–27 calendar tightens this further. The major panchang sources agree that August, September and October 2026 carry no marriage muhurats, so panchang-observant weddings from mid-July 2026 through March 2027 are competing for the same few winter weeks — 25 and 26 November, then 2 to 4 December, then a reopening in mid-January. A package quoted for one of those dates is quoted into the tightest demand of the year. The dates guide has the verified list, and the season guide the month-by-month picture.
What "per person" means here
Searches for a Goa wedding "per person" want one number. The honest per-person figure is the per-plate rate times the number of meals plus a share of the rooms, and the rooms half depends on a rate we do not publish for a venue we have not quoted for your dates. What we can say: the per-plate band across these ten runs from the Holiday Inn's published floor to the St. Regis's, and two main meals for 150 guests at the middle of that band is usually the second-largest line after the rooms. How to read a package someone else sends you
Ask what the minimum guarantee is and whether the shortfall is negotiable. Ask whether the bar is capped. Ask whether the room block has a release date. Ask who holds the excise licence. And ask whether the planner's fee is a percentage of the total, because a percentage grows with every line above, and that is the wrong incentive to put in the room. Ours is flat.
Questions we hear on this
Do Goa venues offer all-inclusive wedding packages?
Venues sell rooms and food, sometimes with a bar package and a basic stage. Licences, transfers, design and production are not in a venue package anywhere in Goa. An all-inclusive package is something a planner assembles across those contracts, and the useful question is what each part costs and who you pay for it.
What does a Goa wedding package cost per person?
The per-plate rate times the number of meals, plus a share of the room block. Per-plate signals in our book run from about ₹2,500 at the four-star resorts to ₹5,500 and above at the top five-stars. Rooms are quoted per wedding and per date, so we do not publish a per-person total that would be wrong for yours.
Is the bar included in a Goa wedding package?
Usually as an option: a fixed per-head bar package or billing by consumption. Either way the excise licence for serving alcohol is a separate application with its own fee, and it is not in the venue price. We write a cap into consumption billing, because an uncapped bar is an easy way to overrun a budget.
Are airport transfers included?
Not by the venue. We include them in what we assemble, contracted directly with the transport operator at cost, with arrivals matched to flights at whichever airport your guests land at. Goa has two, and which one matters more than people expect.
Do you mark up vendors in a package?
No. You contract and pay the venue, the transport operator and every other vendor directly, on quotes you have seen. Our fee is a flat figure agreed after the first call, never a percentage of what the vendors charge.
How many rooms does a Goa wedding package need?
Divide the guest count by 2.2 and add 15 per cent. A 100-guest wedding needs about 52 rooms, 150 guests about 78, 300 guests about 157. In season the venue sells those on a two-night minimum, so the real unit is room-nights: double the room count, or treble it across Christmas week.
Is decor included in a Goa wedding package?
Not in a venue package anywhere in Goa, beyond a basic stage at some properties. In a package we assemble, the design sits inside our flat planning and design fee and the build is quoted line by line before anything is made. What that involves is on our decor page.
Does the package price change by month?
Substantially. The same venue and the same menu cost materially less in October than in the last week of December, when Goa venues often ask around double the November rate. Because the 2026–27 muhurat calendar pushes almost every panchang wedding into a handful of winter dates, a package quoted for late November or early December 2026 is quoted into the tightest demand of the year.
