What a wedding in Arpora costs

No Arpora property in our book publishes a per-plate rate, and we would rather leave that blank than invent one. What we can give you is the state-wide picture from the same book: published catering across the Goa venues we hold a confirmed figure for runs from about ₹1,650 to ₹7,000 a head, so food for 150 guests over two main meals lands somewhere between ₹5 lakh and ₹21 lakh. We hold confirmed room counts for 3 of the 5 Arpora properties in our book, and between them they hold 479 rooms, the largest single block being 280 at Resort Rio. In your own city guests drive home after the reception. In Goa they sleep where the wedding is, and in season the venue sells that on a two-night minimum, so the unit of cost is room-nights rather than rooms.

The arithmetic we run before anyone talks rates: divide the guest list by 2.2, because Indian guest lists never pair perfectly, then add 15 per cent for late confirmations, elders who need their own room and the crew.

When to marry in Arpora

The same nine usable months as the rest of Goa. November to February is peak: dry air, cool evenings, and outdoor set-ups that hold. October is the value month, with the monsoon cleared and season pricing not yet started. Christmas and New Year week is the most expensive fortnight of the Goan year. Between June and September the monsoon takes outdoor space off the table, and the design has to be built for covered ground from the start.

For 2026–27 the calendar tightens: the major panchang sources agree that August, September and October 2026 carry no marriage muhurats, so panchang-observant weddings are competing for late November 2026, the first fortnight of December, and then mid-January onward. If your wedding does not follow the panchang, those quiet weeks are exactly when Arpora venues have dates to sell. Whatever month you pick, outdoor amplified music stops at 10pm across Goa. Plan the evening backwards from ten and it is a non-issue: sundowner at five, dinner early, and the late half of the night indoors.

Getting your guests to Arpora

Goa has two airports and the right one for Arpora is Mopa, in the north. Guests who book into Dabolim by accident add a long transfer at the end of a flight, which is worth saying in the invitation rather than discovering on the day.
