Day one: arrivals, and the function that forgives

Midday — rooms open, hampers waiting, the hospitality desk live: the arrivals afternoon absorbs every delayed flight without breaking anything downstream, which is the whole reason day one carries the gentle function rather than the big one. Late afternoon — the haldi, outdoors, while there is light: turmeric, marigold, and clothes chosen for sacrifice. A drone hour here, if the property allows it, buys the aerial frames while the light is honest. Evening — dinner easy and early, because tomorrow starts the real schedule and half the guests have been travelling since dawn. The discipline of day one is restraint: end it by eleven and the whole weekend thanks you.

Day two: the day the schedule earns its keep

Morning free — genuinely free, on the schedule, in print: pool, beach, nothing. Guests return from a free morning kinder than they left, and the couple gets the one unclaimed breakfast of their wedding. Afternoon — mehendi on the lawn for whoever wants it, artists booked against the guest count, music low. Sunset into night — the sangeet: performances first while energy is high and children awake, dinner service held until the show closes, then the open floor — and at ten, precisely, the party walks indoors, because Goa's outdoor sound rule is real and the venues that host well have the indoor room ready. The after-party is a planned indoor event, not an apology.

Day three: the ceremony, planned backwards

The anchor is the ceremony hour — a muhurtham where one applies, or the light where it does not — and everything walks backwards from it: make-up start times, family photographs, the groom's procession forming where the corridor allows it. A late-afternoon beach ceremony runs the baraat at four-thirty, vows on the sand as the heat breaks, and the golden hour landing exactly on the couple's portraits — which is not luck; it is the tide table and the sun checked months earlier. Evening — the reception behind the beach: dinner, the speeches capped and named, the first dance with its effects cued, and the stage photographs run in a scheduled window so the couple eats.
